About The Growing Nook
The Growing Nook exists to make growing food indoors feel achievable. Not aspirational, not technical — achievable, this week, in the home you already have.

You don't need a backyard
Most gardening advice assumes land: a plot, a greenhouse, a shed full of tools, and years of accumulated experience. That leaves out anyone in an apartment, a shared house, a basement studio, or a home with one small north-facing window.
Indoor gardening asks for much less. A pot on a windowsill, a tray of microgreens on a counter, or a single shelf with a small light can produce something you actually eat.
What we publish
Beginner-friendly guides organized into six areas: getting started, indoor vegetables, herbs and microgreens, grow lights, small-space gardening, and gear and systems. Each guide is written to be read once and acted on the same day.
How we write
We keep our guidance general where specifics would require verification. Where a claim would need testing, measurement, or a scientific source, we say so rather than inventing numbers. Product recommendations will appear only after they have been genuinely reviewed.
